Man oh man. What a way to end the year. This slightly put a damper on the original NYE post I was going to write, but I'm not going to let it kill it. First off, I want to say THANK YOU to the amazing people who keep coming back time and time again. It has genuinely been so fun to develop relationships with y'all. We love seeing all the new faces come through but there's a special place in our hearts for those that we get to know. It has allowed us to create this little sandwich community for that we are so grateful. Then there are those like Austin. I don't usually respond to or post reviews, but I'll be honest, this one really pissed me off. Everyone wants to know why small businesses keep closing; why corporate ones keep taking their place. Well, it's little things like this. The amount of effort and straight soul that goes into running a small business is is huge. We truly work to make things great as best we can. I'm not saying that we don't fuck up- we definitely do, more times than I'd like, but I'm ok with that. I'm ok with a bad review that warrants one and for us apologize and try to make it right. What I'm not ok with is reviews like this. One where the would be "customer" is at fault, not us. Yet we're the ones who suffer. Google reviews these days, are important. They are how the majority of people judge where they're going to eat. Those little numbers are greatly affected, especially by a one-star review. Those who don't respond are viewed as spineless. Those who do respond are viewed with an eye roll. It's a small business owner battle that I've gone back and forth with since opening, but today, on the final say of this fucked up year, I went with my instinct. And I gotta say, it felt fucking great. I've decided that I'm bringing that same energy into 2026. Thanks for reading my angry business owner Ted talk. We will see y'all tomorrow CAUSE WE'RE OPEN NEW YEAR'S DAY. 🎉
